2025 Fall Ball (girls & boys)

When: Sept 9-Oct 30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Times: 5:30-6:30pm
Location: Mashashimuet Park
Cost: $25 per player


Fall Ball is an informal, development-focused program open to players entering grades 2 through 6* during the fall season. The emphasis is on keeping kids on the field, having fun, and continuing to build baseball fundamentals in a low-pressure setting.

Unlike the structured spring season, Fall Ball will have no formal teams and no uniforms. Instead, players will come to the field twice a week for a mix of casual practices and pick-up games. Team assignments will be made at the beginning of each session. Fall Ball is low commitment, which allows for children to participate in conjunction with soccer and other fall sports.
 
Parent volunteers will lead all sessions as a coaching group, and the format of each day will be flexible based on attendance and player age. This structure allows us to provide an appropriate and engaging experience for all players. Here are a few possible scenarios for a typical afternoon at Fall Ball:

  • If attendance is mixed but small, younger players (grades 2–3) might participate in a practice while older players (grades 4–6) play a pick-up game.
  • On another day, we might run a game for grades 2–4 and a practice for grades 5–6.
  • When numbers allow, we’ll split into two pick-up games based on age group.

This structure ensures that every player is active and improving—regardless of age or skill level.

*Players entering 1st grade who played coach pitch in the spring 2025 season may join as well.
**The League would like to have a softball group as well if there are enough players signed up. Please note that your softball player may have to play baseball in a mixed girl and boy setting if there aren't enough softball players.
